John Lackey struck out 12 batters and Rondell White left the yard and had 3
RBI as the Detroit Iron Gloves beat the Chainsaw Proctologists by a score of
12 to 3.
White had a big day against Chainsaw. He doubled scoring two baserunners in
the 5th inning and delivered a solo blast (his 8th of the season) in the 7th
inning. Detroit had 12 hits for the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Lackey(4-4) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Miguel Batista(1-4) took the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering
8 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
'Everything felt great' Lackey said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
